How you can help
Our goal: help sell 500 000 copies!
We have a goal now! To aid in the sales of 500 000 copies. That's a lot of plastic!
Still, it gives us a concrete goal to work to.
Since TLJ is going to continue in episodic format, this goal has kind of become irrelevant. It was pretty hard to measure anyway. Of course, you can still help out using one of the tips below, or using your own creativity.
There are several ways to help promote Dreamfall. The first and most important one is word-of-mouth: tell it to your family, your friends. Buy it for someone's birthday if that person likes games.
Currently, you can help out this website the most by contributing to our downloads section.
Tip: when talking to somebody about Dreamfall, try to do it in a public place, with many people around.
Other methods:
- 'Advertise' on forums: start a post about the game Dreamfall. Be careful to respect their forum rules and to post in the correct subforum (usually called 'Games', 'Community Discussion' or 'General') though! Otherwise people will just think you are dumb fanboys/fangirls.
- Postering: hang up posters in places where people will notice.
We have posters in our downloads section. - Contact your local magazines and papers: publications are always looking for new content. If a paper or magazine that you read has a 'games' section, contact them to let them know about Dreamfall.
- Write reviews: go to various game sites and write positive reviews (especially at places like IGN which gave a bad review) if you believe the game was better than what the reviewers thought. Don't spam and score the game for what you think it's worth.

- Signatures and profile information: put a message about Dreamfall in your online user names and/or forum signatures and other profile information visible to other people
Contributed by: David C. Hansen - 'leave behind' the paper': if a magazine or newspaper has an article with Dreamfall, make some notes on the page with the article so that people will notice it, then 'forget' it in a public spot, preferrably leaving the page open at the Dreamfall article.
- Beer cards: write www.dreamfall.com on a beer card, with some complementary text, for example "do not forget to buy". Leave them behind in public spots like pubs, busses, train stations, ...
- Donate a copy to your library: donate a copy to your local library, if they let people borrow games.
